📂 Documents Module

Overview​

The Documents Module allows users to seamlessly organize Documents and Templates within a single integrated module. This improvement replaces the previously separate modules and offers a unified, intuitive folder structure.

🧭 Navigating the Interface​

  • The folder tree is displayed in a tree view, supporting infinite nesting.
  • Each folder can contain:
    • 📁 Nested folders, or Subfolders
    • 📄 Documents
    • 📑 Templates
  • Icons help differentiate folders, documents, and templates.
  • A list of the newest Documents and Templates created.
  • Use the search bar to find items using full names or abbreviations.

📁 Folder Actions​

You can perform the following actions on folders:

  • Create: Use the "+" icon at the top of the list or next to any folder to add new Folders, Documents or Templates.
  • Rename: Use the ✏️ icon next to the folder to rename them.
  • Delete: Use the 🗑️ icon to remove a specific folder permanently, along with all the items inside it. Note: Folders containing locked or approved files cannot be deleted.
  • Drag & Drop: Move folders into other folders freely.

✅ Folders support unlimited nesting—organize as deeply as needed.

📄 Document & Template Actions​

You can manage documents and templates with the following actions:

  • Duplicate
  • Export
  • Delete
  • Drag & Drop between folders or subfolders

🔍 Search Functionality​

You can use the search bar present at the top of the sidebar to quickly access any Folder, Document or Template.

  • Search across all folders, regardless of nesting level.
  • Match by:
    • Folder name
    • Document/Template name
    • Abbreviations set for the specific Document/Template

  • Use clear, consistent naming to manage deeply nested folders.
  • Rearrange using drag-and-drop for a clean and logical hierarchy.
